Transfers to and from John Wayne Orange County Airport

Before heading to locate your choice of transfer from Orange County’s John Wayne Airport, please remember to collect your entire luggage from the baggage claim area of your Arrivals hall. If you are departing from the airport please remember to collect your belongings from your means of transfer before proceeding to enter the terminal of your departure.

Rental Cars

Rental car counters are located between Terminals A and B on the lower Arrivals Level, across from the John Wayne statue. Pick-ups and returns of rented vehicles are accessible from the Ground Transportation Center (GTC) in the Parking Structure opposite the terminals, in between Parking A2 and B2, on the lower level.

There are also some off-site rental car companies with licenses to pick-up customers at the airport to shuttle them to their location. The pick-up will be from the Ground Transportation Center. See and compare all the John Wayne Airport car rental companies here (both on and off-site).

Buses

Route 76 of the local bus service OCTA (Orange County Transportation Authority) stops at curbside outside Terminal B once an hour, each direction, from early morning to even,

Shuttle

iShuttle route 400A runs to and from the airport and Tustin Metrolink Station every weekday from morning to evening. The fare for a single journey is $1.00.

Private shuttle services are available at the Ground Transportation Center on a reservation basis only.

Trains

Irvine, Santa Ana and Tustin train stations are located around 10 miles from John Wayne Airport. From here it is possible to travel to a number of different locations both locally and nationwide. The different stations are connected with either Amtrak, Metro or Metrolink.

The easiest way to transfer to the train stations is by taxi, except for Tustin Metrolink Station that is connected with the airport through iShuttle route 400A during weekdays.

Taxis

Metered taxis can be found on the lower level, Arrival, in the Ground Transportation Center and near Column 14 on the same level of Terminal C. Pre-book taxis here.

Parking

There are 4 parking garages located around the terminal building and one off-site parking lot located across Interstate 405 in Irvine.

Valet Parking Services are available for the parking garages at an hourly or daily fee during daily operating hours.
