As you arrive at John Wayne Airport please remember to collect your luggage in the baggage claim area of your terminal before proceeding to landside.

Baggage Claim at John Wayne Airport

The baggage claim area is located on the lower level, Arrivals, of all terminals. Which baggage carousel your baggage will arrive at depends on which terminal you arrive at as they are assigned to the separate terminals as follows:

Carousels 1 and 2 are utilized by the airlines in Terminal A and oversized luggage pickup is located behind Carousel 2 while the Airline Baggage Claim offices are near Carousel 1.

Carousels 3 and 4 are utilized by airlines in Terminal B with oversized luggage pickup is behind Carousel 3 and the Airline Baggage Claim offices are located near Carousel 4.

Carousels 5, 6 and 7 are utilized by the airlines in Terminal C. Oversized luggage can be picked up behind Carousel 6 and the Airline Baggage Claim offices are situated near Carousel 5.

International arrivals claim their baggage at Carousel 7.

Transfers at John Wayne Airport

Car Rental – The onsite car rental desks at John Wayne Airport are located on the Arrivals level between Terminals A and B, across from the John Wayne statue.

Pick-up and return of a rented vehicle take place on the lower level of the Ground Transportation Center.

Off-site car rental companies collect their customers from the Ground Transportation Center in the center of the Parking Garage opposite the terminal building to shuttle them to their location.

Bus – The local bus Route 76, provided by OCTA (Orange County Transportation Authority) stops curbside outside Terminal B once an hour in each direction (Eastbound or Westbound) from morning to evening during weekdays.

The closest Greyhound stop is found at Santa Ana Train Station.

Shuttle – iShuttle route 400A runs between the airport and Tustin Metrolink Station during the weekdays. It runs at least once an hour from morning to evening and it costs $1.00.

Private shuttle companies are located in the Ground Transportation Center available through reservations only.

TrainIrvine, Santa Ana and Tustin train stations are all less than 10 miles from the airport. Santa Ana and Irvine are most easily reached via taxi, while Tustin can be reached through the iShuttle route 400A during weekdays. Amtrak, Metrolink and Metro operate from one or more of these train stations.

ATMs at John Wayne Airport

There are ATMs on the airside for both arriving and departing travellers. For arriving passengers they are located in the Baggage Claim area on the Arrivals level (lower level) near Carousels 1, 4 and 6/7.

Covid-19 Rapid Testing at John Wayne Airport

Located Pre-security in Terminal B on Departure level travelers can get a rapid Hoag Covid-19 test with results in 15-30 minutes.

This test may not be approved by all airlines or countries so make sure it is before opting for this test. The testing is $139 and available Monday-Friday from 8.00AM to 5.00PM.
